Adding an RSS feed to your website

Adding an RSS feed manually to your website is one of the easiest things in the world to do. If you know any basic HTML at all you will be fine and by following my instructions, you cannot go wrong. Trust me ;)

RSS feeds use the programming language called XML. XML is much more simpler then HTML is. All an XML feed does is create the title, description and link url that people using an RSS feed will see.

All your RSS feed needs is a

* Title

* Description

* Link Url

Which you can see an example of at

Setting Up Your RSS Feed

Open up a text pad or note pad on your computer and copy and paste the example below into your pad. Make sure you replace the title, description and link with your own.

The first section has information about your website, the second section has information about the article or information you are syndicating.

You can pretty much add anything you want into those fields, but keep it brief and to the point.

Example

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
<rss version="0.91">
